The Opportunity

AgroPlus is seeking a highly organized and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead operations at our Medicine Hat warehouse. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong leadership and logistics experience, and takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations. As a key member of our team, you will oversee shipping and receiving, product handling, inventory accuracy, facility upkeep, and seasonal product flow while ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Leadership

  • – Oversee all daily operations of the Medicine Hat warehouse, ensuring accurate product handling, safe work practices, and efficient workflows.
  • – Lead, train, schedule, and support warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • – Coordinate shipping and receiving, ensuring accurate documentation and timely movement of crop protection, crop nutrition, and seed products.
  • – Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant facility, including yard organization, product storage, and inventory zones.

Inventory & Product Management

  • – Oversee all inventory activities, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • – Monitor stock levels and communicate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to meet customer demand and support seasonal product flow.
  • – Ensure all inbound and outbound products meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • – Manage product staging and loading to support seamless customer pick-ups and deliveries.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

  • – Operate and oversee equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and pallet jacks, ensuring safe and compliant use.
  • – Conduct and coordinate regular inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
  • – Collaborate with service providers and contractors for major repairs or facility improvements.

Customer & Team Support

  • – Support sales, agronomy, and operations teams by preparing orders, fulfilling deliveries, and ensuring accurate, timely product availability.
  • – Assist customers and drivers with professionalism, efficiency, and a service-first attitude.
  • – Support seasonal operational demands, including extended hours and high-volume product movement.

 

What You Bring

  • – Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or a related field; supervisory experience is an asset.
  • – Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • – Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • – Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating equipment such as forklifts, loaders, or pallet jacks.
  • – Commitment to safe work practices and a strong understanding of WHMIS and workplace safety standards (training available if needed).
  • – Proficiency with MS Office and general computer applications; experience with inventory software is an asset.
  • – Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • – Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and perform hands-on work in warehouse and yard environments.
  • – Availability for extended hours during peak seasons.
  • – A positive, professional, and reliable attitude with a focus on customer service and teamwork.

You will play a critical role in delivering practical, value-driven solutions that improve long-term crop performance, enhance sustainability, and strengthen overall profitability, while also contributing to mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within our agronomy team.

  • – Offer expert guidance in crop nutrition, soil test interpretation, field scouting, diagnostics, and tailored product solutions.
  • – Utilize advanced agronomic knowledge and awareness of emerging trends to position proprietary and vended crop protection, plant nutrition, and performance products for improved outcomes and enhanced profitability.

Product & Service Delivery

  • – Assist in the coordination, delivery, and management of crop nutrition products, seed, and crop protection products to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • – Support seamless product handling and customer service to maintain strong relationships and operational excellence.

Agronomy, Sales & Communication Support

  • – Contribute to agronomy and sales initiatives, including preparing agronomy alerts, technical bulletins, crop tips, and seasonal updates.
  • – Support and participate in grower agronomy meetings, product information sessions, field demonstrations, and diagnostics.
  • – Provide input and ideas for marketing, advertising, and customer engagement tools that strengthen communication and drive business growth.

 

What You Bring

  • – A degree or diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field; a P. Ag or CCA designation is considered a strong asset.
  • – Three to five years of progressive experience in Ag retail, agronomy, sales, precision agriculture, or another closely related area.
  • – A genuine passion for agriculture and a strong desire to help growers improve productivity, sustainability, and long-term success.
  • – Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and build trust with growers and team members.
  • – A high level of organization, self-direction, and motivation, paired with an exceptional work ethic and commitment to follow-through.
  • – Excellent time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to adapt and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • – A willingness to continuously learn, stay current with evolving agronomic practices, and explore new tools, technologies, and innovations.
