AgroPlus is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Location Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and overall success of our Medicine Hat retail location. This leadership role is key to managing staff, coordinating logistics and inventory, supporting safety and compliance, and fostering strong customer and community relationships. If you’re a hands-on leader with a strong background in agricultural operations, we want to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and support the team at your location, including seasonal staff
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing needs, and team performance
  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and AWSA standards
  • Facilitate onboarding, complete training requirements, and lead monthly safety meetings
  • Oversee yard, facility, and equipment maintenance

Operations & Inventory

  • Manage product ordering, forecasting, and inventory tracking
  • Coordinate closely with sales reps to ensure accurate orders and efficient product flow
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct weekly counts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with other AgroPlus locations to optimize supply and logistics
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery and high standards of customer service
  • Support accounts receivable follow-up to ensure accurate and timely billing

Customer & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and local stakeholders
  • Support select location customer sales as needed
  • Represent AgroPlus positively within the community and broader ag industry

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in agriculture, operations, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with proven team leadership abilities
  • Working knowledge of ag input products, inventory management, and logistics
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant business systems
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing seasonal demands
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Agronomists to join our team based out of our Foremost, AB location. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of the agriculture industry. This position works together with our growers and team members in collaboration with industry representatives to attain the targets set by our customers by providing agronomic assistance and technical help while supporting our sales and marketing activities. Our unique approach will create a positive impact for long-term sustainability and profitability.

 

Required Skills & Experience

– Passion for agriculture

– 3-5 years experience in Ag retail, Agronomy, Sales, Precision Ag/or related field

– Degree or Diploma in Agronomy or closely aligned field – P. Ag. or CCA is beneficial

– Organized, self-directed and self-motivated

– Excellent time management skills and strong work ethic

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills

– High commitment to learning new technologies and agronomic practices

– Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean driver abstract

– Excellent computer skills with the ability to use MS Office Suite

– Positive and upbeat attitude

– Eager to learn

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

– Build strong relationships with growers and industry representatives.

– Provide sound agronomic advice while determining appropriate recommendations and technical positioning for agronomic practices and products.

– Provide customer support and expert advice on crop nutrition, soil test interpretation, field scouting, diagnostics, and product recommendations.

– Utilize agronomic expertise and anticipation of agronomic trends to improve market positioning and profitability of proprietary and vended crop protection and plant nutrition/performance products.

– Assist with the management and delivery of crop nutrition products, seed, and crop protection products and services.

– Develop business plans with farm customers and provide follow-up on cropping plans and recommendations.

– Support agronomy and sales activities such as agronomy alerts/updates, agronomy bulletins, crop tips, grower agronomy and product meetings, field diagnostics, product inquiry resolution, quick response access to agronomic information by phone and email, marketing and advertising ideas and tools.

– Daily travel, extended hours and overnight travel as required

– Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

– Be willing to learn how to operate a forklift.
